Mickey and Canvas

These are some of my new and ongoing obsessions all in one.
I recently picked up this super cute shirt from a random Korean clothing store around town.
There were other colors and different prints as well but I chose to just grab this one for now.
Of course it's a black shirt (I love dressing in black and it's a color that is almost never missing in my outfits) and the prints are of Mickey Mouse, which I'm sure many of you know how much I like Mickey (and Minnie Mouse) and of course, Disneyland.
I absolutely love the fit of this shirt, it's the perfect boxy fit with wide sleeves that help me feel less insecure about my arms.
It's also the type of shirt that would really go with anything.
You can pair this easily with leggings, jeans, shorts, skirts, for a cute and comfortable look.
Let me just talk about my hair real quick.
My recent haircut was one that came out shorter than intended, and it took about a week to even kind of get used to the short length. It's only been less than 3 weeks since the cut but I do have to say that I really enjoyed my hair curled with my favorite styling heat tool, the NuMe curling wand.

These photos were taken later in the afternoon so it had kind of loosened up from what I originally had in the morning. The tighter and bouncy looking curls were what I was going for but due to the natural hair oils (that I have a little too much of) and the fact that my hair is the type of fine hair that does not hold curls very well, it loosened up into this more natural look.
Don't get me wrong, I don't mind this natural look at all.
I just think I may need to explore a stronger hairspray that will hold my curls longer.
If you have any recommendations, please send them my way!
It seems like I have a little more to say on this post than usual, but I want to mention this canvas tote.
A few of my brothers at church are going off to medical missions and this was canvas tote was hand designed and printed by one of their members as a fundraiser for the group.
Canvas totes have been very in style this Summer, and I've been absolutely in love with mine ever since I got it. It's more special to me because they custom printed the phrase that I wanted on my tote.
Thank you so much for an amazing tote!

I got some of these very candid shots thanks to my two friends, Caroline and Rachelle.
And thank you to all who complimented me on this look, I really enjoyed it myself. ;P
There's another heatwave this week, and I can't wait for that to be over already.
I hope you are all staying hydrated, because water is key to survival in the heat. (:

Vertical Stripes and Slippers

Black and white, with a pop of blush pink.
Add vertical stripes on the white pants for more character.
It was a super bright and sunny day with not a better area nor enough time to capture these photos so it may be a little difficult to see the stripes, but I love how she chose to wear these rather than something like a plain pair of white pants.
I love how she threw on a pair of slippers, which have been a popular fad this Summer.
It can be so formal yet comfortable with the low heels and you don't even have to worry about having your pedicure on point.

She decided to carry a small clutch that is just big enough to fit her necessities and one that would pop as a point in her outfit of the day.
Black and white are such neutral colors that can easily be worn but I definitely found her blush pink clutch to be a perfect pop of color and a very simple yet feminine choice of an accessory.
Summer is already almost coming to an end, and Fall slowly approaching.
This outfit is definitely wearable in the Fall, especially here in LA.
I hope you guys enjoyed this look and stay tuned for the next update.

Crochet Trim & Flirty Shoulders

I love this top and I think it's perfect for the Summer heat.
The material of the top is easy to wear without having to layer anything underneath and because it's not a tight fitting shirt, it definitely allows the wind to travel through and help feel the breeze.
It is a very simple top that could have been a little too plain and even boring but the crochet trim detail brings out some fun and the off-the-shoulder detail brings out a feminine and flirty feel.
I love all of that about this top, because it makes me feel very girly and I love it when clothes alone make me feel that way.

Clutch - BP from Nordstrom (www.nordstrom.com)

I picked up this BP clutch because it was on sale and I thought I'd really like this color.
I have the same exact clutch in pink because that was gifted to me as a birthday gift from my friends, and really liked it. But because it's pink, I thought it'd be nice to have a color that is a little more versatile. It's a gray color with a blue undertone so in some lighting it looks more blue than gray but I am absolutely in love with it!
I don't even know how this photo happened but I just love how it turned out.
It almost makes me think that this is an art piece rather than a blog photo.
What do you think?
Thank you Jane for these cute photos, I love how they came out. <3
I'm about to go up to the mountains where it's apparently going to be 100 degrees Fahrenheit, and I am so not excited for the heat. I also don't want to tan but I probably will come back slightly darker if not quite a bit darker. I hope you all are having a fabulous week and until next time,

White On White

One of Grace Yourself's favorite models is back with an all white outfit with a pop of black.
With the weather being super hot this Summer, her outfit was the perfect for when you just don't want to show too much skin but want to still stay cool.
Wearing light colored clothes are definitely one way to keep cool and loose-fitting clothes are definitely breezier.
Shirt - H&M (www.hm.com)
Pants - Zara (www.zara.com)
Shoes - Vans (www.vans.com)
With a lot of fads coming back and being recycled, she chose to wear these shoes with her outfit.
It adds a nice hint of black on a very white palette which I personally really liked.
This week is really hot and I am literally about to have a heat stroke.
Stay hydrated and hope you enjoy the rest of the week!
