Feelin' Flirty

Today's blog is especially exciting because I recently had a mini-photoshoot in Pasadena. I rarely venture out to different parts of LA, so it was fun to find a new location to explore. Of the many alleys they have in this area, I chose this particular alley with cute brick walls that served as a great backdrop. Despite the fact that Pasadena is fairly close to LA, I don't visit it often. This was definitely a reminder that I should explore more.
I was definitely vibing with the gray, blush, and nude tones in my outfit. The off-the-shoulder top exposed just the right amount of skin to give off a cute and flirty feel.
I wore a pair of simple black ripped skinnies. I completed the outfit with a pair of nude ope-toed heels and a blush clutch. I love these heels because they add a few extra inches while being comfortable. The ribbon at the ankle also gives a feminine touch and I love it. The clutch is in a beautiful neutral shade but it's unique because of the fuzzy texture. This outfit is an awesome day-to-night outfit!
This was also the debut of #indongphotography. I had so much fun, and I was pleasantly surprised at how great the pictures turned out. For his first time behind the camera, don't you think he did a pretty awesome job? I definitely am enjoying them a lot. There will be more collaborations coming, so keep an eye out on my instagram and #indongphotography!

Irene's Blush Overalls

Here's a new face on Grace Yourself! Irene is a cute gal who was visiting from Korea. She is my good friend Rachelle's cousin. During her visit, we really connected well, so I'm sad that I couldn't spend more time with her.  She's now back home in Korea and who knows when we'll meet again.
Irene's outfits reflect the typical Korean fashion scene. It's hard to describe the subtle differences that set apart a Korean-Korean style from a Korean-American style. There are plenty of trending videos on YouTube that show the difference between Korean and (Korean) American trends. There are very minute (sometimes almost unnoticeable) details that can differentiate cultural trends.
Irene layered a thin, black, long-sleeve shirt under a dusty blush corduroy overall dress. She paired the outfit with beige ankle socks with sparkle details that only show when you look closely. She also completed the look with white sneakers with pink details to match the dress.
I had a lot of fun shooting Irene because it was a fresh post from the trends you have seen on Grace Yourself. Everything from her poses to her facial expressions just screamed K O R E A. It hasn't even been a week since she left and I already miss her so much. See you again someday, Irene! T-T

@Hyoibrand

There are times I want to feel comfortable but look decent. I've been in love with this new Cream "Loyalty" L/S Tee from Hyoi Brand, which caught my eye mostly because of the color.
I love that Hyoi Brand represents their message through simple and neutral aesthetics, so I purchased it as soon as it dropped without thinking twice.
I wanted to capture some candid shots with this shirt on since it's a casual attire, while attempting to look somewhat hip and bold. What do you think? Haha
I am still working on being more free with my photoshoots and creating photos that are not always the same so do bear with me. :)
Something about the contrast in the colors of the text on the shirt with the combination of the cream color... am I the only one that's obsessed?
And not to mention, the long sleeves made it even more perfect.
It's wintertime in LA, but it's been kind of a hot one.
A shirt like this is perfect for those days where it's a little too cold to wear short sleeve shirts but too warm to wear knits and sweaters. And of course, you can easily throw on a jacket to finish the look and to stay warm when it gets colder.
