Hole-y Knit

Winter season calls for knit sweaters, and you can never go wrong with a black one.
Today, I am featuring a hole-y knit that someone I know gave to me. Because of the cold weather, I layered underneath by wearing a long sleeve black shirt.
I decided to carry my charcoal cross-body with my all black outfit.
Photocreds to my coworker dongseng Becky Chun, and a shoutout to her for bearing the cold with me. I got really sick after this photoshoot and I think this is one of the reasons why she got sick too... but both of us are recovering at the moment so yay for that.
I'm in the process of growing out my hair completely, so that I can naturally go back to my natural hair color. It is taking a long time but a lot of people think that I colored my hair like this on purpose. Do you think I should re-dye my hair after I grow it out or keep my black hair for a while?

I hope everyone is having an awesome Christmas Eve and MERRY (early) CHRISTMAS to you all!

Wooly Winter

School has been out for a week now but I still was so caught up with everything in life that it took a while to even get this started. I know I say this all the time but I do hope to be sharing more with you guys during break--- as that is when I typically have more time to enjoy my hobbies.
I am discovering as time goes on that Jane's closet is just amazing. There are many times when I just don't have the time to photograph her outfits, so I can't share her entire collection with you all but I am always enjoying the way she pairs her clothes together.
Wool Cardigan - Loft
Button Up Shirt - Loft
Shorts - unknown
Sheer Tights - DKNY
Long Socks - Ebay
Shoes - Dr. Martens
I don't know if you've been following up with all of Jane's features on my blog but her modeling is improving and she looks amazing. If you see her around, do give her a high five and tell her she's doing a great job!
Last one, because I can't say no to cute photos. (:

Hello, December.

H E L L O , D E C E M B E R .
It's already December, which means that Christmas is approaching and that this year is almost over.
I seriously feel like this year went by so fast and I can't believe it's going to be a new year.

To start off the last month of the year 2015, I brought back one of my favorite models here on Grace Yourself. Jane rocked the chic look this past Sunday, in black jeans with rips on the knees, nice black booties, and a leather jacket with a lot of buttons. I absolutely love her leather jacket, with the buttons making the piece unique and with the feminine shape of the overall jacket. To soften the all black look a little, she paired her outfit with a loose plaid button-up but kept the chic feel with the black choker.
Shirt - Rag&Bones
Jacket - Joie
Pants - Top Shop
Shoes - Aldo
Necklace - Forever 21
Not much to say about this outfit because the photos say it all.
Winter is now here and I'm so excited to see everyone pull out their sweaters, coats, and boots!
I hope that Jane's outfit was inspirational for the Fall-like Winter season here in LA and rock your boots, booties, and them jackets.
P.S. Finals are right around the corner, so good luck to myself and to you all!
I will be back soon with more to share with you guys. (:

Brace Yourselves, It's Jonathan.

It's been almost three months since I last featured a friend, and definitely been a while since I've featured a guy on Grace Yourself. Brace yourselves for what is to come. Haha just kidding, you've already seen it all in the photo below.

Jonathan's Sunday attire has been gaining my attention for some time now, and I can definitely see the difference in his style from when I first met him.
I always thought he was a year younger than me until very recently, and my first impression of him is actually the complete opposite of what he is actually like in real life... and both came to me as a surprise. However, I would like to take this time to say that I really like Jonathan. He's a very hardworking guitarist that has saved my butt at times during praise at church, and his humor can be a bit awkward at times but okay enough for me to deal with it. *insert laughing out loud emoji here*  (HAHA LOVE YA, CHINGOO!)

Enjoy the super short photoshoot we had, which hopefully will be the first of many to be featured on Grace Yourself.

Shirt - H&M
Pants/Joggers - Cotton On
Shoes - Timberland
Watch - Coach
You can tell that he's feeling awkward, trying to pose for the camera for the first time. Hopefully by the next one, he will look a lot more natural. Stay tuned for more.

Shoulder Cut-Outs

New in my wardrobe is this simple, heather gray long sleeve shirt with shoulder cut-outs from Zara.
I decided to pair it up with a black skirt (also from Zara) and my polka dotted Nike sneakers for a cute, casual outfit with points at the shoulders and at the feet.

I'm absolutely loving this shirt, and I love its versatility. I can wear it with not only a skirt but with shorts or pants, jeans, or even leggings. I can also pair it with whichever shoes, whether it be sneakers, sandals, boots, etc. I am super excited for the Fall and Winter season, and I know I'm going to go back to this shirt over and over again this season.

With Joe's suggestion, we checked out this nice restaurant. It's called Zinc Cafe & Market in the Downtown Los Angeles Arts District area. I was just trying to be all artsy and whatnot, but I got impatient so these photos aren't necessarily the best.

Chips and guac was amazing. Their guacamole has a tiny kick to it but it may have been the best guac I've ever had at a restaurant. Their chips were deep fried so they were very crunchy and were also lightly salted.

The Asparagus Sandwich was interesting. The asparagus on that sandwich was delicious. What sucked is that the bread part which was on the bottom, was kind of too soggy from the juices of the toppings.

The Spinach Lasagna was good as well, but a little on the bland side. It didn't have any meat but the spinach made up for it because spinach is just delicious.

I do have to say that my favorite dish was the pizza you see up there. It is the Margherita pizza and it was delicious! The dough was pretty thin, which means less carbs. The combination of the mozzarella cheese, the sauce, and the green topping(I forgot the name of the leaves) was just an amazing combination. I typically enjoy Margherita pizzas almost about anywhere but this one is definitely the best I've tasted by far.

Of course you can't go wrong with some group selfies with your friends to savor the moment. In the end, photos are what captures your memories and moments and that's pretty much all we have to look back in the future to remember the small and the big things in life.

We stopped by Blue Bottle Coffee after, which was right across the street. Right outside the place, there was a cute painting of the honey bear and of course we couldn't just pass it by.

I didn't get his permission to post his photo here but I took my own photos while Chelsea was taking photos for him. Check him out on his instagram here: METOO and show some love.

September is already coming to an end, and midterm season is fast approaching for some of us.
Good luck to all of you who have exams coming up, and also to those who just started their new semester! Stay tuned for more posts coming soon.
