Knits and Coats

It's finally starting to feel like Winter here in LA, which means I can walk out of the house wearing all my knits and coats. I love layering, and this is definitely the season to layer and layer all you want.

Pants - Zara (www.zara.com)
Coat - Zara (www.zara.com)
Shoes - Banana Republic (www.bananarepublic.com)
I have been in love with the deep colors this season, including this kind of navy blue on the coat as well as the forest green on my knit sweater top. This coat isn't the most warm kind of thickness/material but I love the simple style and the fact that I can easily dress it up or down. There's only one button in the middle which is perfect for the simplicity of the coat, and I definitely love the pockets on the sides. Outerwear with pockets are always more convenient than ones without, so I love that about this coat.
*Just being silly in the middle of the shoot, mimicking my lovely friend Christine with the leg extension. Don't you just love my hair flip? Haha*
One thing I love about this knit sweater top is the ribbon detailing on the back. With the sweater being a super simple one with no particular design on it, the ribbon adds a cute and feminine touch.
I love how it creates a little bit of an area that shows a bit of skin, especially because the whole sweater is very simple and doesn't show skin anywhere else.
These shoes are currently my favorite pair of heels in my entire shoe collection, and I'm quite sad that these shoes are getting almost too loose for me. It's still wearable because of the ribbon on the ankle holding down my feet from constantly slipping off my feet.
I love pairing these shoes with anything, whether it's a pair of pants like in this outfit or with a cute little dress like I wore to my friends' wedding reception recently. You can check out my Instagram page to see that outfit and how cute it looked with the dress. It's so versatile and beautiful, I love it!
I've also been in love with these high-waisted pants, because it makes wearing crop tops or just shorter tops in general easier. This sweater isn't exactly a crop top but it's definitely on the shorter side. For short people like myself, it is definitely more ideal to wear shorter tops rather than long ones that cover the butt because the longer the shirt, the shorter your legs tend to look. I struggled with this for quite some time because I felt like I just couldn't wear high-waisted pants and look good in them, let alone look decent in them. Having lost weight and gaining some confidence in myself, I am starting to love them and I can totally see why people are so into them!
This area was really dark in terms of lighting, but I just love how all the photos turned out so I had to add them into my post. Major shoutout and thanks to Jessica Jeon for her amazing and improved photography skills, capturing me in the best way possible. This was a fun shoot, and I look forward to shooting more with you. ;)
With Christmas coming in less than a week, I hope everyone has finished their Christmas shopping!
I did my shopping early this year and already had some gifts delivered to their owners.
It's always good to stay on top of this because last minute shenanigans are just too crazy.
If you haven't finished your shopping, you should definitely get on it ASAP.
And for those of you who are finished like myself, good job *pat on the back*!
Now we just need to sit back and enjoy this holiday season.
Happy Holidays!

Until next time,

Grace Yourself.
