Blue Jeans & Long Tops

Here is the long overdue post of my lovely friend Samantha aka "Sam" and her debut on Grace Yourself. This was actually shot on Christmas Day, after church.
Even though this was a very quick shoot, it was fun while it lasted.
Sam is a very funny gal and even though it was her first time posing for Grace Yourself, she was so natural and excited as if it was not her first time posing for a fashion blog.
And her long, skinny legs looked really good in those jeans and booties.

The lighting was giving us quite the trouble but I think these photos turned out better than I thought.
I love taking pictures of my friends and seeing how I improve on making them look as good as they can with just my iPhone, and I definitely will be taking more photos of Sam in the year of 2017.
Stay tuned for all the upcoming posts!
I hope you enjoyed Sam's debut here and I hope to bring more of her fashion on my blog throughout the year of 2017.
Stay warm and stay dry(and away from the rain!)

Four Button Denim Jacket

Happy 2017, everyone! The year 2016 went by super fast for me and unfortunately, I didn't get to have a very smooth ending along with a smooth beginning because I've been pretty sick.
I'm now feeling a little better and so here goes the first post of the new year!
Scarf - Zara Man (www.zara.com)
Shirt - Banana Republic (www.bananarepublic.com)
Jacket - AliExpress (https://www.aliexpress.com)
Pants - Zara (www.zara.com)
Shoes - Adidas (www.adidas.com)
Jane and I drove out to the OC area to meet up with a friend and found this cute alleyway.
It was the perfect setting to take pictures and quickly took some before the sun went down.
Even though I had a rough start to the new year of 2017, I hope that it'll be a fruitful and a productive year overall. I wish you all a happy new year!

Turtleneck Love

It's been a while, because life got crazy hectic with finals season rolling in. I had so many papers and exams to do while going to work part time and serving at church. I was able to get some photoshoots in since the last time I posted on here, but I just haven't had the time to refine my photos and upload them onto the blog page. But now that all the school stress is over for a while, I should be able to continue posting for you guys!

Turtlenecks are a must during the Winter season. This particular turtleneck is unique in its shape, and I really liked that. Jane paired this turtleneck with a pair of black jeans that she distressed by herself. And of course, you can't forget the chelsea boots and booties in the Winter time.

The weather on this day was definitely on our side. There was enough light but not much sunlight, because it was kind of a cold day and it was perfect for a photoshoot. I was very pleased with the result of our photos.
I really thought Jane bought her jeans as is, but turns out she distressed them herself. I have experience distressing my jeans and I remember being very pleased with my results. I absolutely love the rips on the knees, it's totally in style and gives some character an outfit with dim colors.
I love the slits on the sides of the turtleneck sweater, and how the back is longer than the front. A shirt being too long in the front makes your legs look shorter, but a longer back covers your butt and you feel a little less self-conscious about your behind.
And of course, Jane never fails to give me some funny poses. I love her so much, she always makes me laugh even when I'm not in the mood to laugh!
I hope you guys are enjoying your Winter break and the upcoming holiday season.
Stay tuned for more fashion goodness on the blog and on my Instagram!
