Sparkles and Blues

This sale season at Zara, I picked up several items that I just fell in love with. And if you've been shopping around at Zara during these past few weeks, these clothes may look familiar to you. My entire outfit here is made up of clothing from Zara (with the exception of my bag) and I cannot stress enough how much I love each and every one of them.

These pants were actually brought home by my mother, who paid a visit to Zara before I did. She knew that I have been searching for black pants that I can pretty much wear for any sort of occasion and she found one that was on sale for $25. I actually looked at these a couple months back before they were on sale and they were about $50-60 at the time and I am so glad that I didn't pay the original price for them.
There are zipper details right below the pockets and also on the bottom of the pant legs on the inner side. I love how these are the material that won't wash out to a faded black and how they're so comfortable yet flattering to whatever you pair it with.

These sparkly pointy flats stood out to me from the corner of the store and I picked them up to see that it was exactly my size. I didn't see any others around the entire store and I didn't even know how much they were because there was no tag on them. I took them up to the counter to ask and as soon as the lady said they were $10, I knew I was going to get them without second thought.

You can kind of see it more detailed in one of the photos below but they actually start with silver at the front but then about mid-way through, the color changes to gold. I love how pointy flats bring out the feminine vibe and I love how it's sparkly and stands out. I've been wearing these flats quite a bit ever since I got them. You can tell how happy I am to have found these, right? Haha

This shirt though. It was the most expensive pick but I just couldn't say no to it after trying it on. It is the cutest top that I can wear with not only pants but also with shorts or a skirt and I love everything about it. Yes, the sleeve length is an awkward one but I love that it covers enough and not too much. I love how even though it's a round neck, there's enough room for my neck to not look like it doesn't exist. The material of this top is also perfect for the Summer because it's thin. All in all, I don't think I found anything that was a downside to this top and I absolutely think that it was well worth my $40. I'll definitely be wearing this shirt a lot this Summer.

See you next time!

Vest It Up

Lately, I've been enjoying the all-black look a lot more than I used to. And to make it look a little less "plain," I threw on a new vest from Banana Republic that my mom and I purchased last month. It's like a trench coat but without sleeves and it's comfortable and fashionable. It's perfect to put on top of an all black outfit like what I'm wearing here. I just threw on a pair of black pants and a simple round-neck short sleeve t-shirt from Zara. To go along with the all black outfit, I threw on my black pointy flats from BP that my mom got for me from Nordstrom.

I've also been loving my hair-do with the Nume curling rod and I actually purchased another one yesterday. My best friend tagged me on an Instagram post yesterday morning, which had a code for the most discount I've ever seen for a Nume curling rod and I couldn't resist. I was too scared that if I gave myself the time to think about it, the deal wouldn't be available anymore by the time I was sure that I wanted another one so I went ahead and just purchased it. I purchased a 32mm one which is a quarter of an inch thicker than the one I've been using and I'm so excited to try it out! If you're interested in purchasing a curling rod, you should definitely look into the Nume products. You can find pretty good deals online if you just search well.

The above photo was a candid shot taken by Caroline, who is a beloved sister. I really like the photo so much that I went ahead and posted it not only here but also on my Instagram account. Yay for good and candid photos!

Beautiful Day

The highlight of my Fourth of July weekend was my visit to the Huntington Library/Garden in Pasadena, California. Hanna's friend Donna was visiting from the East Coast and Chelsea, Rachelle and I went on this trip with them to enjoy nature.

This place was absolutely beautiful.
It was so hot when we were walking around though, so we got tired pretty quickly. I also got too lazy to continue photographing the scenery because it was so hot...but I would like to visit this place again some time during the Fall/Winter time so that I can enjoy without sweating so much. If you're a nature lover, I do highly recommend taking a visit to this place.

The above bush was named "Cinderella." There was a kpop song from a long time ago called "Cinderella" with a specific motion that I semi-followed. I don't think you'd get it unless you know the song...hehe.

This is Chelsea Pae, and she always helps me out with taking photos for my blog. Always thankful for this friend along with a few others for being so amazing and patient! Thank you once again for the beautiful photos you've produced during this trip.

Before heading to the Huntington Library, we made a stop at Dog Haus in Pasadena to fill our empty tummies. I'm not much of a hot dog lover so I just ordered a burger and it was actually delicious! Above is a screenshot of Rachelle's instagram post. Her instagram has pretty much become a foodstagram and some of her photos are actually amazing. Some of them also have been featured in different pages and accounts like DineLA and buzzfeed(I think it was buzzfeed...).
Check her instagram out right here ---> SHOWTIMERACH

We stopped by Old Town Pasadena after Huntington Library and took Donna to Intelligentsia. We also went to eat poke across the street at the Poke Salad Bar (below the hotdog photo) which was delicious. It was my first time trying it and it was so good that I ate my plate clean. We went to the Griffith Observatory afterwards in the hopes of watching the sun set. However, there happened to be concerts going on at the Greek Theater at Griffith Park and that made us miss the setting time. We still went to watch the pretty view of Los Angeles (photo below) and then headed back to Koreatown to grab some dessert from Okrumong.

It was a tiring but a memorable day for us.
I hope you guys had a great Fourth of July weekend as well. (:

I've been absolutely loving my new hair curling rod from Nume (classic wand 25mm), which has been kind of a fad amongst a lot of youtubers and bloggers. I usually curl my hair with my straightener but the curls using the Nume rod is a lot more natural looking and it is less time consuming. You can look for coupons online to get them for a cheaper price! The shipping rate was a flat rate of $12 which sucked but I paid about $38 for this rod (excluding the shipping) which I think is a steal.

Have a great weekend, everybody!
