Separate Pieces

Happy Saturday, everyone!
I haven't been able to update this space as much as I would've liked to, but I'm always thankful that I have a space to come to and express my love for things. And as I am almost finished with this semester, I am excited to be able to invest more time into Grace Yourself... so wish me luck on my last final exam on Monday!

And with that, here's another outfit post featuring my beloved friend, Jane Kim.

I don't know if you can tell just by looking at the photos but the short-sleeve crop top and the see-through layer underneath the crop top are completely different pieces of clothing that Jane decided to pair up together. She has no idea where the crop top is from because her mom bought it for her but the see-through slip underneath is from Nordstrom.

There are a couple different ways to match the bottom with this arrangement on the top, which can be either just black jeans/pants or black leggings depending on the kind of look you're going for. Jane decided to go for white jeans from American Eagle instead of the generic black bottoms that I probably would've worn if I was to wear this outfit myself.

She put on a simple yet noticeable necklace from Madewell to accessorize the blackness of the top.
Her top had roses on them that made it not too plain and it was made in a thicker type of material as well, which made the shirt less flowy and a little rigid compared to a cotton shirt.

***Extra photos that I really liked for its silliness***

I hope you enjoyed this outfit details and the photos, even though they're not the greatest photos.
Have a great weekend, everyone!

Simple in Denim

It's been a while since I've featured myself on Grace Yourself, and it's also been a while since I took these photos for this outfit but my life has been pretty busy with work and school, leaving me almost no time to spend on my computer. I'm sorry I've been pretty MIA here but just bear with me... this semester is almost over!

Ever since the purchase, I've been loving the loose fit of the striped denim button-up from UNIQLO and have been absolutely loving the Rebecca Minkoff crossbody purse on any of my outfits. On the days where I don't need to lug around all my study stuff for school, I've been reaching for this crossbody without a second thought because it's small enough without it being too small to carry my absolute necessities(wallet, key, phone, hand mirror, lipstick) and it allows me to not get tired carrying around a purse stuffed with all of my what-ifs.

I got a hair trim a few days before I shot these photos. Yes, I call it a trim but the lady actually chopped off quite a bit of my hair to try to get rid of the really badly damaged ends. Even though it felt like such a big difference in the hair length, it felt fresh and light after and my hair not only felt silkier but also looked a lot healthier as well.
